Since November 19th, our first game is available for players on Steam platform in Early Access. First reviews from users are positive.
Due to the game’s sandbox nature, testing all possible interactions proved impossible and we decided to release the game in Early Access. Thanks to player feedback we’ll receive will help us to properly polish our game. We will continue to work on Dieselpunk Wars with the feedback we receive from our players and ensure that it is an enjoyable experience for everyone, free of any bugs. Additionally, player feedback will help us fine-tune the balance of the game.
Johan: The Witch’s Wrath is a dynamic, story-rich, and action-packed dark fantasy archer simulator. The story is of big importance, as it motivates the player to take action. It also allows to quickly bond with the main protagonist Johan – one of several bandits who come out of a forest to pillage merchant caravans. His group also includes: a former hunter, a fencing instructor from a royal academy, and an assasin. The character controlled by the player is a magnificent archer. He can shoot down a bird perched on a tree branch as far as 40 feet away. Thanks to the Precision Shot mechanic, the player will be able to perform incredible feats. The game itself is stylized to look like a digital painting.
Realistic archery mechanic
We’re working on specialized archery mechanics, so that it’s as realistic as possible, while making sure it’s fun to fire your arrows at your enemies.
A dark and moody world
The action takes place in a very harsh world, full of brutal monsters. It’s tough and dangerous. The player will have to stay vigilant.
An extraordinary story
Our story will gradually pick up its pace, right until an intense finale. Our story will motivate the player to constantly take action so that they can follow it with bated breath.
The game’s graphics are stylized to look like digital art. A speed painting art style will support the narrative, which is delivered in a format similar to that of a comic book. This kind of art style will keep the story coherent.
Dynamic character development
The player will utilize a perk system to improve their character. Each perk will be unlocked based on the action that the player takes.
Our journey with video games began in 2012 when Paweł Graniak founded ‘Potęga Obrazu’ – Poland’s first school of concept art and digital painting (www.potegaobrazu.pl).
By taking one of its courses, students can learn to design characters, monsters, machines, and environments for the purpose of game development. Lectures are grounded in the gaming industry’s most common practices and latest trends. Many students found themselves employed as artists by gamedev companies after finishing the course.
The school’s crowning achievement was publishing the first concept art coursebook in Poland. The book came out in 2018 in Poland and it’s now available at Empik bookstores across the whole country.
To this day ‘Potęga Obrazu’ collaborates with the best artists in the gaming industry.
Paweł Graniak, chairman of the board
Paweł Graniak – a designer by education, holds an MA degree in visual communication. He founded ‘Potęga Obrazu’ in 2012 where he gives classes in concept art and digital painting to this day. Two-times juror in Team Game Development Competition held by the Lodz University of Technology and the Academy of Fine art in Lodz.
Mr. Graniak is the chairman of Burning Knight game studio, which he founded in 2017. In addition, he serves the role of game designer and leads the concept art department. His duties also include scriptwriting, character design, and gameplay design. In 2018 his studio started working on a game called Johan: The Witch’s Wrath.
Burning Knight is currently a division of Image Power S. A. In his spare time, Mr. Graniak practices traditional archery. More than one werewolf and ork were felled by his arrows. He’s also a fan of fantasy. His favorite universe is the Old World.
Marcin Zaleński, chairman of the supervisory board
Marcin Zaleński – a graduate of the Faculty of Management at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, and an entrepreneur since 1999. Specializes in sales and financial markets. From 2015 to 2019 he was a co-owner and president of the management board of Fundusz Stabilnego Rozwoju Sp. z o.o., as well as a chairman of the supervisory board of Income Capital Sp. z o.o., and a co-founder of Movie Games S.A., which he successfully introduced through subsidiaries in 2018 to the New Connect market. Currently, preparations are underway for the transition to the Warsaw Stock Market.

Jarosław Chałas, vice-chairman of the supervisory board

He also serves as an arbitrator at the court of arbitration at the Krakow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and as a board member of the Baltic Business Forum. He won many awards and distinctions, including Optimist of the Year 2017, Personality of the Year 2016, Top-5 managing partners of Gazeta Finansowa 2016, and the Manager of the Year 2010.
